Shore A Description:

The hardness of rubber compounds is measured by the Shore A durometer; the higher the durometer, the harder the compound. Softer compounds stretch easier and seal better on rough surfaces. Harder compounds offer greater abrasion resistance and resistance to extrusion.

60 Shore A is softer than 70

70 Shore A is the standard

90 Short A is very stiff

Specs:

A perfluoroelastomer which provides a broader range of chemical resistance than any other compound on the market. Ideal for process taking place in subzero temperatures as well as for use in multi-substance plants or in mixed media due to its broad chemical resistance.

Because of its versatility, it is often used as a standard compound and can be found in a variety of applications including acids, caustics, aldehydes, esters, aromatics, hot water, steam, amines, methanol, ketones, TBA and MTBE.
