Shore A Description:

The hardness of rubber compounds is measured by the Shore A durometer; the higher the durometer, the harder the compound. Softer compounds stretch easier and seal better on rough surfaces. Harder compounds offer greater abrasion resistance and resistance to extrusion.

60 Shore A is softer than 70

70 Shore A is the standard

90 Short A is very stiff

Specs:

A Carbon black-filled compound for general use in O-rings, seals, diaphragms and other parts specifically for the chemical process industry. This compound has excellent, broad chemical resistance, good mechanical properties, and outstanding hot-air aging properties.

Maximum Continuous Service Temperature: 275°C/525°F

Application:

6375 is well suited for use in mixed process streams because of its excellent resistance to acids, bases, and amines. Suggested compound for use in hot water, steam, ethylene oxide and propylene oxide.
