PR (Rod Seal, Pneumatic)

Even slight frictional resistance can be noticeable in view of the lower pressure conditions used in pneumatic applications. Abrupt movement of the piston (stick-slip), may be influenced due to friction.

The demand for pneumatic cylinders having ease of motion induced us to design a modern seal with minimum friction resistance. The seal is made from highly wear resistant synthetic runner and is designed in a Z-shaped section.

Both the static and dynamic parts are of a compact design, and are flexibly bonded together through a thin cross-piece.

The PR seal develops very little contact pressure even though sealing at high efficiency, this making the frictional loss almost negligible. Because of the flexibility of the seal there is no substantial rise in friction even with eccentric displacement of piston and piston bore. This results in good sealing and durability of the PR seal.

Suitable for use on both single and double acting pneumatic piston rods.

Temperature: -20°C to 100°C (-4°F to 212°F)
